DIRECTIONS

Preparation:

  • Sit quietly for at least 5 minutes before measurement.

  • Avoid eating, drinking caffeine, smoking, or exercising for 30 minutes prior.

  • Sit upright with feet flat on the floor, uncrossed.

  • Rest the arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.

  • Ensure the arm is bare or clothing is loose and not constricting.

Cuff Application:

Apply the cuff to the upper arm according to the clear instructions (e.g., air tube aligned with the middle of the inner arm, cuff snug but not too tight). The bottom edge of the cuff should be about 1 inch (2-3 cm) above the elbow crease.

Measurement:

  • Press the START/STOP button.

  • The cuff will automatically inflate and then slowly deflate.

  • Remain still and silent during the measurement.

  • The blood pressure and pulse readings will be displayed and announced.
