How medication take-backs work

A few simple steps help make your drop-off quick and safe.

1. Gather Your Medications

Collect eligible expired, unused, or unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications

2. Protect Your Information

Remove or permanently cover your name, prescription number, and other personal details on containers. If you are unable to do that, inform the Pharmacy Staff and we would be happy to do it for you.

3. Bring Them to Q-Bit

Visit during pharmacy hours. Call first if you are unsure whether a specific item can be accepted.

Important: Do not leave medications outside the pharmacy. Always inform pharmacy staff if you are dropping off medications. Controlled substances, liquids, inhalers, creams, and other specialty items may have specific acceptance rules. Please call us at (650) 206-9343 before your visit.
